The founder's story
I kept moving.
My stuff kept up.
I became an urban nomad at sixteen — new city, new job, new room, again and again. And again, I left furniture behind.
Every move had the same script: fall in love with a bookshelf or a wardrobe, live with it for a year, then stand on the curb watching it become someone else's curb find. Big things don't fit in a life that moves.
What survived every single move was never the impressive stuff. It was the crate that folded flat. The bag that swallowed a wardrobe. The boxes that went back to flat and waited for the next city. Those things never got left behind — because they were designed not to be.
TheFlorae is that shortlist, finally for sale. Everything here folds, rolls, zips, or collapses — and everything has survived at least one real move before it was allowed in the catalogue. Your next place is temporary. Your gear shouldn't be.
Nine cities, one lesson
Age 16
The first move
One duffel bag, one bus ticket. Everything I owned fit under the seat.
Age 19
The furniture era
City #3. I bought a real sofa. I loved it. The lease ended; the sofa stayed.
Age 23
The purge
City #6. I stopped counting what I'd abandoned and started counting what had survived.
Today
The shortlist
This store is that list: everything here has been packed, hauled, and unpacked more times than I can count.
